Vehicle Rental Customer Service Assistant
We currently have a seasonal vacancy for the role of Vehicle Rental Customer Service Assistant . We are an independent family managed business who rent Campervans, our customer base is worldwide although predominately the European and domestic market.

About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented, and friendly individual to help us get our adventurers on the road! As a Campervan Rental Assistant, you’ll be the face of Gallivant Campers during handovers and the "magic" behind the scenes that makes our vans, The OG and Galli 2.0, look and feel premium for every guest.
This is a flexible role that fluctuates with our hire schedule, making it perfect for someone looking for seasonal work with a mix of outdoor prep and customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Van Prep & "Sparkle": Getting the vehicles rental-ready to an immaculate standard. This includes deep cleaning (interior and exterior), window polishing, and ensuring all surfaces are dust-free.
Inventory & Setup: Restocking the vans with fresh linens, kitchen essentials, and outdoor gear (chairs, tables, leveling ramps). You'll ensure every item on the checklist is present and in perfect condition.
The Handover: Greeting customers with a friendly "Gallivant" welcome. You'll walk them through the van’s features (how to use the heater, pop-top, kitchen, etc.), handle the paperwork, and answer any "life on the road" questions.
The Return: Welcoming customers back, conducting a thorough check of the vehicle and inventory, and noting any maintenance or cleaning needs for the next prep cycle.
Basic Maintenance: Carrying out simple checks like tyre pressure, oil, and water levels between hires.
What We’re Looking For
A "Clean Freak": You have high standards and take pride in making things look brand new.
A People Person: You’re friendly, approachable, and can explain technical bits (like how a gas stove works) clearly to nervous first-timers.
Reliability & Flexibility: Since hires vary, we need someone who can be available on short notice (especially around weekends and bank holidays).
Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is essential for moving vans around the depot and aged 21+ for insurance purposes.
Practicality: You aren't afraid to get stuck in, whether it's scrubbing a wheel arch or troubleshooting a flickery LED light.
